Huston's parents were film director John Huston - himself the father of actor Walter Huston - and ballerina Enrica SOMA. In the Irish province of County Wicklow the family moved to the county in 1953, from California. In 1954, the family were moved in 1954 to County Galway. Huston resided on the estate throughout her childhood. Her father was absent for long periods working on film sets.
